Simply Curious is an experimental, participatory platform for consciousness research. It exists to support people who are curious about what they're encountering — in media, in ideas, in their own inner life.
The work here centers on calibration — a practice of discerning the level of consciousness that a piece of content, a teaching, or an idea appears to carry. This isn't about judgment or certainty. It's about developing a more nuanced sense of what feels true, life-affirming, or clear — and what doesn't.
We don't claim authority or absolute truth. The calibrations here are collective, provisional, and open to revision. Think of them as a shared map, drawn by people genuinely trying to find their way.
The scale runs from 1 to 1000, mapping levels of human consciousness from shame at the low end to enlightenment at the high end.
The level of 200 marks the threshold between force and power — the dividing line between what weakens and what strengthens. Content, ideas, and people can be placed anywhere on this scale.
